The Fort Hood Scholarship Fund plays a pivotal role in eliminating obstacles to achieving higher education and enhancing the overall well-being of military families. Through the provision of academic scholarships to both high school seniors and military spouses residing in the Fort Hood area, we actively strive to enhance educational opportunities and uplift the quality of life for these valued families.
President’s Message
On behalf of the Fort Hood Member Scholarship Fund Board of Directors, thank you for your continued support of our mission to invest in the education and future of military family members.
The 2025-2026 scholarship cycle marked an important milestone for our organization. This year, we transitioned to a fully merit-based scholarship program, allowing us to increase the value of individual awards and provide more meaningful support to exceptional students pursuing higher education. Through the generosity of our donors and community partners, we awarded approximately $65,000 in scholarships to 18 outstanding recipients.
We also celebrated another first by hosting our inaugural Scholarship Awards Banquet. This special event provided an opportunity to recognize not only our scholarship recipients, but also the families, mentors, donors, and volunteers whose support helps make educational dreams possible. Witnessing the accomplishments, aspirations, and resilience of these students reminded us why our mission remains so important.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to strengthening our program, expanding opportunities for military family members, and ensuring that financial barriers do not stand in the way of educational success. Together, we are investing in future leaders who will make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

2026 Scholarship Program Highlights
In 2026, the Fort Hood Scholarship Fund refined its scholarship program to focus exclusively on merit-based awards, recognizing exceptional academic achievement, leadership, community involvement, and commitment to future success.
As part of this strategic shift, the Fund awarded 18 scholarships, compared to 44 scholarships awarded in 2025. While the number of recipients decreased, the value of individual scholarships increased significantly, allowing us to make a greater impact on each student’s educational journey. In total, approximately $65,000 was awarded to deserving military family members pursuing higher education.
Another milestone in 2026 was the introduction of our first Scholarship Awards Banquet. This special event was created to honor not only the scholarship recipients but also the families, mentors, donors, and community members who have supported their success. The banquet provided an opportunity to celebrate academic excellence, recognize achievement, and strengthen connections within our military community.
As we look to the future, the Fort Hood Scholarship Fund remains committed to investing in outstanding students and empowering military families through educational opportunities.
